Sowinski Sullivan was the architect on a team for the new parking garage and connection to an adjacent transit-oriented development for SEPTA’s Lansdale Station. The garage has 675 spaces and provides much-needed additional parking at this heavily used commuter station. In addition to the parking structure, the scope included the design and construction of a new pedestrian overpass above the tracks linking the station to the transit-oriented development planned by Lansdale Borough. Sowinski Sullivan aesthetically integrated the garage and overpass into the surrounding community in a way that is sensitive to both the historically significant Lansdale Station Building, and the more avant-garde development. This project is pursuing the Green Parking Council Green Garage Certification.
