Sowinski Sullivan was the architect and prime consultant providing preliminary Stage 1 design services to the Port Authority of NY/NJ for the renovation of the Security I.D. Office at Building 14 of John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK). The previous security office area, which was approximately 9,800 square feet consisting of administration office space, badging areas, waiting areas, and training areas, was underutilized for current and future needs. The Security I.D. facility was fully renovated, and included new finishes and furniture throughout, to facilitate improved operations and expand the staff training capacity at JFK Airport. The I.D. Office was occupied starting in January 2020.
